The Society's Vice-President, Professor Nick Barber, alongside
historians Tom Quick and Ruth Goodman, experience life and work
running a pharmacy in the 19th century.
The Society's Museum was heavily involved in the filming of the
series, with researchers for the programme and the accompanying
book drawing heavily on the Museum's collections and expertise.
Briony Hudson, Keeper of the Museum Collections, will also appear
in episodes of the 4-part series.
The programme makers, historians and phamacists will come
together at a special session at this year's RPS Conference. The
session will explore the heritage of pharmacy and what role the
Victorian Pharmacist has in our understanding and promotion of
today's pharmacy profession. Find out
