West Central Scotland LPF Meeting - 25 March

Many members may be aware of the initiative to establish Local Practice Forums (LPFs) throughout the country with the aim of providing a dynamic & supportive local environment that is responsive to the needs of members.

Following early work surrounding the creation of these forums, the West Central Scotland* Practice Forum would like to invite all members in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde areas to a meeting on Thursday 25th March at 7pm at The Parish Hall, 266 George Street, Glasgow G1 1QX. A light buffet will be available from 6.30pm to enable the meeting to start at 7pm.

The purpose of the meeting is to:

1. Set up a shadow West Central Scotland* Practice Forum Transitional Steering Group

Please click here to view the relevant pages of the LPF toolkit. In the first instance we need an LPF Lead, Deputy Lead/Secretary and Finance Lead. It would also be useful at this stage to appoint an IT Lead, Comms Lead and Education Lead. We would be grateful if you can please send an email to Natalie Ryce with any recommendations or nominations of members you think would best fit these roles and be willing to undertake them in advance of the meeting. In addition, if you would like to volunteer for any of these roles yourself, please let Natalie Ryce know via email.

2. Give consideration to the nature and format of the LPF and its activities for the 12 month period ahead.

It would be useful at this stage if a list of proposals could be generated for the type of activities you, as a member, would like to see both "centrally", "virtually" and possibly "locally".

We very much hope you will be able to come to the meeting on 25th March and would be grateful if you could confirm your attendance by contacting Natalie Ryce on 0131 556 4386 or via email, natalie.ryce@rpsgb.org.

Please feel free to invite anyone else who you think would be interested in being involved with setting up the new LPF, and don't hesitate to advise Natalie Ryce if there are any other pharmacy organisations that you consider should be specifically invited to send a representative. If, for any reason, you cannot attend the meeting but are interested in getting involved with your LPF please do let Natalie know.

In order fo us to arrange catering, it would be very helpful if, in addition to yourself, you could advise us of any others who would like to attend.
